I am pretty sure some coho are getting all the way up past the first golf course beaver dam as this otter seems to be on to something.

After some months of observations, have an idea why they these beavers keep the notch in this little dam. Maybe they will coexist with humans who break their dams on their own. TBC.
Tree protection work is for the beavers. But not this way! Have a plan to monitor older tree cages to keep them from being beaver breached.
Bet this adult beaver who's likely chewed down many trees was and is surprised too. A gift that may just keep giving.
